Nancy Buckley is the founder of the United Kingdom Serials Group (UKSG) Project Transfer Working Group. The initiative was devised to create standards for the process of journals transferring between publishers.
Since creating the project, the Project team
have, formed an active advisory board, publicised the first Code of
Conduct for Journal Transfers and encouraged agreements from major
publishing houses.
The next stage of the Project is to establish
metrics for monitoring compliance to the Code, as well as to create
a freely available web- database to provide journal transfer data
for the publisher, aggregator and library community.
