UKSG

Burgundy Information Services staff are actively involved with the United Kingdom Serials Group (UKSG), contributing to their many conferences, seminars, roadshows and other adhoc events and representing publishers and librarians on a number of committees.
Nancy Buckley is Treasurer of the UKSG and has been an elected member of the committee for 5 years. 
Paul Calow is a member of the Education Sub-Committee and Helen Cooke is a member of the Marketing Sub-Committee.
The UKSG has a membership of more than 500 organizations, a third of them based outside the UK, and exists to encourage the exchange of ideas on printed and electronic serials and the process of scholarly communication. 

In a dynamic environment, the UKSG works to: 

promote discussion and the free flow of information on serials matters and associated technology
develop links between all parties in the serials information chain encourage professional awareness
stimulate research and provide a program of training and education
UKSG membership offers a lively program of conferences and seminars, the Serials Journal, and e-news journal as well as the popular industry discussion list.
